I have a '90 F-250 with a stock rebuilt 351c. Through a course of events, I had to let a garage put a new TPS on the throttle body. Afterwards they jacked around with everything they shouldn't have to get it to run and idle properly i.e. throttle stop, TSP voltage setting. My manual doesn't tell me much. Can someone give me specifics?? Thanks.
You can adjust the throttle stop but there is very little else you can adjust. You can adjust the TPS but it's hard to do with it on the truck and the truck running.
Mainly the computer controls the idle speed and the other controls. So there are very vew things we "shade tree" mechanics can adjust anymore.

You are correct with the 351w EFI. I realized the mistake too late after posting. I also know you can only adjust the throttle stop and the TPS. I have replaced my TPS screws with socket head capscrews which allows them to be loosened with an allen wrench.
The setting I need is when is the throttle stop properly set i.e. how closed is closed on the throttle plate.
My manual gives all the details on the TPS voltage setting, so I am trying to get the both of them to spec. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for your response. I'll take a look at your site this morning too.
