So second time in two years the front drivers side caliper has sized up on me. Lucky for me I was able to pull over let it cool and free it up. I was traveling towing a trailer thru Brooklyn and Manhattan when it happened. Any thoughts on replacement calipers. Thanks.
I've had a front and back VatoZone calipers fail one me on my previous Ex, both in the summer while city driving. Since they are so plentiful I opted for an exchange(lifetime warranty). 1/2 hour and I was on the road again after a gravity bleed. As much as I don't want to recommend them I still kind of do due to the fact that Vatozones are on every corner and usually always have F250/F350/Excursion calipers in stock, consequently as long as you have a few wrenches handy a new caliper is not far away. Also when using discount codes the Duralast Reman Calipers end up being cheapest. I paired mine with Russell SS lines and Duralast Gold pads.
Semi-Loaded means either no caliper bracket is included with the caliper and/or no brake pads/hardware installed. At least that's the way I understand it.
