I've got a 93 f350 w/460 heading home tonight and the left side headlight started flickering, the fuel gauge was sitting at a half tank and then jumped to way over full and then the transmission either kicked out of overdrive or just jumped up to 2100 rpms in overdrive. A little further down the road and wouldnt you know it I got pulled over and the DS taillight and DS headlight were both dim to the point you can barely see them. I have no idea what can cause all of these, except maybe a bad ground but I would think that all the headlights and taillights would dim if that was the case? Also if I shut the truck off with the key on the lights work fine.

Also the passenger side taillight is out. They're LEDs and I had issues in the past with the LEDs causing transmission problems but I installed resistors and that took care of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

does sound like intermittent ground.

 

Yeah it just seems odd that it would only affect the drivers side lights. I would just assume they're all on one circuit. I'm gonna tear into it tonight and see if I can find it.
