I enabled the gauges to have the digital read outs and unlocked the Navigation so that an address can be entered while driving using ForScan on a 2019 F250.

I got one of first of the 2018 MY trucks and certain Forscan functions did not work. I emailed Forscan team and they found issues and remedied and sent me a Beta version to test. Fix worked and rolled into the next update.

It works on 19s. Ford is transitioning to a new system from IDS though. I have found that Forscan won’t play well with the new Expeditions.

Why oh why does it only work on a windows laptop and not a handheld device. I have to disconnect my whole PC from the house and bring it out and plug it into the truck. I guess they assume everyone has a Windows laptop lying around. I have a Windows laptop, but because I work for a bank, they have it locked down so hard you can't connect anything to USB or Bluetooth. I don't wan't to buy a personal laptop just to use Forscan.

Kind of asinine since you can read through a handheld device, so I know there isn't a technical reason why.

</Rant over>

My laptop is also locked down because work provided it. I bought one of those throw away little ones for under $200 and it works great for the programming.

Please stop the all caps bolt text, it isn't exactly nice.

I've made tons of changes on my 19' - read through the FAQ and learn how to use it. There are about 4-6 mandatory changes IMHO to get the truck where I like it.

Try looking in the Forscan thread. I know others have done it, I believe. Another good source is the spreadsheets.

I doubt that the creators of forscan care whether you want to use a handheld device, laptop, or PC.

Everyone using forscan should consider carefully who the creators are. Forscan is from a Russian company, Verysoft LLC, very-soft.com
Phone number is +7 382 256-46-58.

Do the following Google search and see how often it's discussed on this forum:

forscan AND russian site:ford-trucks.com

Good point you make. Didn't know that they were Russian. Would rather they hack into my computer than my phone anyway. If I start posting in Russian, you know what happened. Now I know how folks feel when I tell them the applications I develop are only supported on Firefox.
