The accessory outlet on my wife's 2003 Escape isn't working. Looks like both the accessory socket and the cigarette lighter socket took issue with the shape of my GPS power adapter. Anyway, changing a fuse fixed the lighter outlet, but according to the manual the accessory outlet has a relay with one side of the relay protected by a 10 amp fuse. The fuse checks out okay.
Is the relay supposed to be replacable or is there another higher amperage fuse that I haven't discovered yet? The relay is mounted in the fuse box and wiggles a bit but doesn't seem to want to come out readily, and I don't want to force it until I know that it's supposed to be removeable.
