I have ben doing a lot of reading of ECM swaps on my GMT400 Suburban to the GM 0411 LS ECM. Has almost infinite tuning capabilities. I was wondering if anyone has used this ECM on a FORD? or is there something better/faster for our trucks?
BTW, my truck is a 1991 F250 SCLB 460/E4OD 2wd, my other is a 1988 Bronco.
I've thought about Coil Near Plug like the LS1, MAF and maybe later a turbo.
For all you 'purists', please dont come in here with your retoric, Im curious and looking for info.
Thank You
Yeah, as others mentioned, our systems have basically infinite tuning tuning capabilities as they replace the stock ECU and give you complete control of all parameters for running the engine, controlling external options like nitrous, meth/water injection, traction control, etc., as well as allowing live tuning (no need to stop and burn a chip, just make changes live and see what the change does in real-time. We've also got a coil on plug add-on kit for small block and big block Fords, as well as a cam angle sensor conversion for TFI distributors to allow you to run coil on plug without having to add trigger wheels to the engine.
Our ECU's can run a MAF (though nobody decides to do so since SD works so well), can handle up to 44psi of boost from a turbo or supercharger, is available with or without transmission control built-in, and is plug and play with the stock harness so you don't have to do custom wiring to use it.
