The tan leather seats in my Expedition are turning blue from wearing jeans. Is there anything that can be used on them to clean them and then seal them to keep it from happening again?
Get some of those yellow microfiber hand towels from Home Depot. Get one wet and wring it out until it’s damp. Then just rub the blue off the seats. The blue is actually fine lint from your jeans rubbing off. Use a little saddle soap if it gets stubborn.
Be aware of what chemicals you use, as the OEM leather has a vinyl coating on it that will rub off if you’re not careful. Buy a quality neutral leather cream to use every few months. My old ‘08 Lariat leather seats still looked remarkably good when I sold it after 6 years or owning it.
Many products in the automotive isle of your local superstore will do more harm than good. Especially Amor All, which is only fit for tires in my opinion.
