2017 f350 dully, i pull a 42' 5th wheel and would like to find a way to hook up an aux switch to the reverse lights with out getting into the light module that might void my warranty
Back up lights are a great mod. I added them to my Cummins and our Jeep. I am not a wiring expert, in fact it really sketches me out. On my old Cummins, a friend just tapped into the backup light on the 7 pin wiring connecter. On the Jeep, I just tapped into the backup light on a tail light. This way, they come on automatically when the vehicles are put into reverse. I do know that you can also run an auxlillary switch so you can turn them on manually for extra light at night when hooking up to a trailer, unhooking, etc. Someone else will have to tell you how to do that though.
I've had great luck with cheap EBay LED's. They are inexpensive and LED's draw very little power and put out a ton of light.
I assume you're talking about the reverse lights at the rear of the trailer. Years ago, I had a 1987 F350 CCLB and a 24' box car trailer, and the trailer came equipped with reverse lights. I found that the center pin on my 7-pin Bargman trailer connector was the source for activating those reverse lights.

If your having the same problem I was you can’t see at night backing up due to the reflection from your revers lights off your camper in your mirrors ?
