chrome cleaners

Can anybody tell me of a good chrome polish or any idea how to remove the oxidation from my chrome parts. I tried a product that i had been really impressed with in the past called Wenol, and then i tried the Never Dull polish. Nothing has worked yet! The chrome is the side molding on my 1969 F100 and its in mint condition, except for the oxidation. Any products or ideas are appreciated.

never dull should work, it cleaned up mine in my 94 side molding, and on my 79 trucks

Are you sure that the side molding is chrome? If it's oxidizing, it could be aluminium or stainless.

It`s aluminum, clean it with a rubbing compound, the same stuff you use on oxidized paint

If it is actually chrome plate:

Coke and aluminum foil.

Seriously, this was on "Mythbusters" on the Discovery Channel last night. It works really well!

. . of course you have to rinse it off afterwards and then wax or protect it in some way.
