Gerbear,
Welcome to FTE!

This is an excellent site with good folks to help you with the upcoming challenges you'll soon be facing with your '65 F250 4X4.

When you have a chance, tell us more about:
-- the how and where you acquired your Slick;
-- what powertrain and options is it equipped with; and,
-- what your plans now are for it; such as; a daily driver/work truck, a weekend cruiser, or show truck.

Some info on my 250. I’ve owned the truck for about 42 years, I bought in the 70s, drove it
for 3 or 4 years and then parked it because it wasn’t practical to drive. It’s original except
for having a 2wd right front fender do to an accident by the original owner, a different seat, it’s black
and it has a 1971 tag on it. The last thing an engine swap by me when I was driving it. The engine
came out of a 65 galaxy, a 352 4v.
I picked up a cab and a few other body parts a few weeks ago so that started the restore.
I plan to drive it some when finished, hopefully in a year or two.
It’s all original except for the things I listed. I’ve taken pictures of the grease pencil marks on the firewall
and frame and plan to duplicate them.
I’ll post some pics soon

That would be GREAT, Gerbear!
I look forward to seeing your pics!

Being in MI, is it safe to say you likely had/have a snowplow mounted on it?

You would think so but it has never had a snow plow on it. I do remember looking for one but that didn’t work out at the time. I’ve learned to pay someone else to abuse their truck, it’s cheaper on the long run😀
