Anybody else's door seals appear to be shrinking? I had a water leak that was dripping out my grab handle last week. I checked the sunroof drains and nothing leaked. Then in noticed the door seal had pulled away from the corner at the top rear of the passenger door. I assumed water was getting in through there, so I went around the door frame and pushed the seal tight into the corners and this is what I am left with. That gap is probably 2 inches. Anybody else have shrinking seals?
All 4 of mine did that. And the metal u clip holding tension also rusted and has lost grip.
Check that long strip above the doors. I guarantee you have rust, mud, and disgust behind it. If not then a unknown rust hole. Mine had all that and left a quarter size hole in my cab. Strips had hard black gunk and were disgusting themselves. Removed them 6 months ago and other than wind noise, haven't missed them.
Just seems excessive for only being 6.5 years old. My old 2002 never experienced this and it spent it's entire life parked outside. Oh well...one more thing to add to the list I suppose.
