powertraxx locker?
i have a 79 f-150 4x4 and was wondering about the power traxx locker. It says its fully street able, but i wonder how street able it really is. The truck will be my daily driver. I also want to know if having a locker in the rear would wear my tires down real fast, or if it would cause alot of strain on my drive train. Does anyone have one in there truck and could give me the good and bad points of one? thanks.

As long as it is set up right it will work fine. You will have to modify your driving habits accordingly. You can't goose it in turns or it will lock up and try to push the front real bad. In the snow it will be a real PIA to drive. Since there is less traction it will want to stay locked all the time. Which makes steering dangerous if it's really slick.
