shocks

should shocks be straight up and down,or a slight angle,,,,I could move to the second set of bolts if needed,thanks dave

They are what they are. There is no hard and fast rule that says shocks have to be one way or the other. Just that, as the angle increases away from the direction of travel, the relative damping ability goes down. So a shock that's angled at 45 degrees (like the rear of a Bronco) would benefit from stiffer valving if the vehicle needed it. Or it can be the way for the manufacturer to tune the ride without changing the shock damping/dampening. Allowing them to use an existing shock perhaps, in multiple locations.

Not sure why our F250's and 350's have shocks at just tiny angles, other than Ford felt that the position was warranted for fitment with all the other things on the frame maybe.

On a side note, if you wanted to change them for the visual effect, purely for aesthetics, it would be fine as long as there was no interference. Either with the shock as the suspension moves, or with the mounts with other things.
Up to you at that point.

90 degrees to the axles travel is ideal, but with vehicle specific shocks, I'd mount them in the stock location, hoping the manufacturer accounted for the mounting angle in their valving.
