I found a decent steel grill for my 67/72 F-250, but the headlight bezels are pretty rough. If you've tried to find them, steel bezels have become quite scarce and expensive. Quick question- will the aluminum repro ones fit a steel grill OK? Obviously I can paint them, but I wonder if they fit OK. Otherwise, I need to figure out how to restore mine, which have small rust holes through them.

Thanks, Bill. I sent inquiries to the above vendors. They don't show them on their websites. I'm a little afraid to see what they are going to charge, though. Back to my original question- will aluminum ones fit OK?

The aluminum type are anodized aluminum, should fit fine.
There's a guy with three sets of them on ebay- at $320 a set! Not NOS, just fairly good-looking used ones. I can get new aluminum repops for $100 each.
Thanks! I'm going to run down a bunch of them I found on car-parts, but my experience has been that most things I call about are sold. I'd prefer steel if I can find them. The set I have is straight, but they have a few rust pinholes on the bottom. I'm wondering if I could sandblast them clean, then slather lead or brazing on them to fill the holes and prevent further deterioration. I don't care what the inside looks like, and the part that's rusty isn't visible anyway.
Yes, it is possible to clean them to “white”, and solder or braze them to replace what has rusted out. Lead is easier, to work, than bronze brazing rod just because it is softer and easier to shape.
