I have a 1979 Ford F100 custom. My right turn signal on my dash won't light up. My left one's fine but the right one won't come on the dash. The right one however will come on outside but not as strong as the left one. It's not a normal blink it's a fainter one. I don't think it's a fuse because that's the only thing malfunctioning. Can some one tell me if it's a bulb in the dash or is a bulb outside. Also could you tell me the bulb size if that's the problem. Thanks.
79,
Did you figure out your blinker problem yet.
If your blinker dash light is burned out, chances are the rest are not far behind. I replaced 75% of the dash bulbs in the last truck I bought.
The problem with reaching up behind is that you probably will remove the wrong bulb or you will disturb others.
My solution to this is no easier, just more thorough.
Remove the entire instrument panel and inspect each bulb. This isn't easy for some, but a good learning experience for all.
Good luck,

dfisher1 you read my mind I did just that a few nights ago and hadn't gotten a chance to post. It was a good learning experience. While I was underthere I replaced the left and right turn signals, the speedo decided to die that night after I but everything back together, and the brake light. The left turn signal came out no problem the right one was a pain in the @** along with the speedo. Thanks for your input.
79,
I hope your talking about the turn signal flasher?
The bulbs should come out easily, if not, they would probably fall out?
You have to turn them? I guess, you knew that?
The speedometer cable is more likely to fail than the speedometer head? Strangely enough, alot of people don't know the speedo head is actually electrical, and not mechanical. The cable powers a generator which moves the speedo needle. FYI

I had the same problem on my 78, the right dash signal would work then stop, I pulled the speedometer/gauge box and replaced all the bulbs, some were really dark and dirty. Then I pulled the steering wheel and clean out the turn signal switch really good and cleaned the brass colored contact points in the switch, Put everything together and its worked great every since, nice tight, responsive and blinks bright.
