I searched to no avail...i am looking for opinions on aftermarket gas tanks/auxillary tanks. I will be towing a jeep and if the average is 7mpg, the 24 gallon tank is not going to cut it. Any help would be appreciated.

I think you mean a 29 gal. tank. There are a few companies that produce several types of tanks.
I have looked into this and you will basically cut your stops in half.
fordyj,
just had a 46 GALLON MID-SHIP replacement tank put in, , this may sound strange , but its gonna take a ride or two to get use to the way the truck feels , the tank itself is about 70 pounds pluse your adding another 17 gallons @ appx. 7 lbs a gallon, i did notice after filling it up that it took 102 miles b-4- the needle on the fuel gauge moved? also have to go to the dealership and have them plug in to the OBD w/ thier GNS to recalibrate the overhead trip computer, don't ask me why the installers did not do it , they said " the gas gauge never lie's and the overhead will learn it" not! i don't think so, also the gns is either a Ford deignostic tool or a manufacturers tool, maybe some one elese could tell us more on that.
I recently called Aerotanks and asked for a larger replacement tank. They only make them for Diesels now. Their tanks were setting a code in the gassers, but not the diesels. I think Transfer Flow is the best bet for a larger tank for a gas rig, all though they are quite spendy.
