Delete and two mufflers?

Anyone that has had their trucks deleted and added two mufflers?
I had mine deleted 7 months back and the diesel performance shop added a Flopro muffler.
The drone minimizes at 75 mph and greater but is annoying to me below that. I'm thinking about adding a Donaldson muffler downstream of the Flopro muffler.

Anyone try this and if so did it make a difference in drone reduction?

Are you running an aftermarket tailpipe? If not, you could install it back on because of the resonator on it. Check out Deuce40's new video of his truck with the Donaldson muffler with what looks to be the stock tailpipe with resonator. He also posted the results before and after with a sound measuring app.

It's an aftermarket tailpipe. I did ask about keeping the stock tailpipe (two outlets) but I thought they said something about the aftermarket tailpipe interfering with it somehow. I'll look at it again.

As I understand it the FTE Resonator will kill the drone.

It does a really good job on eliminating the drone

Is there anyway to measure back pressure after adding the FTE resonator?
The video I watched on installing the FTE resonator the guy stated
"I will be removing the resonator soon though and replacing it with regular straight pipe before the muffler as I am adding a twin turbo kit which will provide no drone by itself. Should free up some back pressure."

Now I'm trying to decide whether to get the 4" ID - 30" resonator/muffler or the 17 1/2".

Since the 4" resonator is 5" OD do I get the 5" clamps?

I think that tip looks way better than just the pipe itself. Looks good man...

On my '97 I had a 4" system with Donaldson muffler which I replaced with a 5" system with Diamond Eye muffler and 17" FTE resonator. With the resonator, the 5" produced less drone than the 4", which normally it would have produced more drone. If you already have a muffler, I would go with the 17". I recently had my '17 deleted and was going to go with the 30" resonator and no muffler, but really liked the sound of the Flow Pro muffler, so decided to go with that muffler and if I think it's too loud, then later add a 17" FTE resonator. So far I'm happy with it as it is.
