Hello All,
I usually hang out in the FE Engine or 67-72 truck Forum. My brothers 91, 4.9l, 5 speed tranny has quit. Any recomendations on where to get a rebuilt tranny for the best price?
Any advice on this R&R?

I seen on Ebay there is a company selling rebuilds for about 600 bucks for the Mazda tranny he's got. I would recommend getting it rebuilt locally though, because if something happens you know where to go.

Manual transmissions can cost more than automatics because there are more moving parts. I had my ZF 5speed rebuilt at around $1000, They put all new sycros and and replaced 3rd gear and 4-5 gear slider. All bearings he said didnt need replacing. He told me they can run up to about $3000
