Well, I knew this truck was a brick because every time I come out here to check on the progress of our new building I have to lock tnin as soon as I get off the pavement. This afternoon I was bringing the 40’ trailer over here to store it and I didn’t get enough steam up to make it through the super soft stuff. First time stuck (in this truck).
The 60/80 psi factory setting doesn't do you any favors in the sand, especially with the highway oriented tires.
I've already thought about a detroit locker up front but I'll wait to see how a tire swap does first. I'm towing in wet sloppy stuff over ten times a year and I'd rather avoid having to pedal down with TC/Stability off and coat everything with mud.
Air down to 20-25 psi and you would crawl right out, as long as you weren't sitting on the frame already. Airing down makes a huge difference in the sand.

You are right, but I am way too lazy for that. I only had a short stretch of the real soft stuff and in hind sight I should have went to the cul-de-sac and turned it around so I could have made a left turn into my lot and gotten a little better run. That trailer is 10k so I knew I was in deep doo-doo when I started spinning right away. I did manage to get out by myself though. This is the upper level of my off-road excursions with this truck.
Next time you could use the track skid steer that made the tracks in the sand to pull you out......as long as it's on the jobsite. **** happens, and until you get a truck stuck you'll never know it's limits.
Lol that is not stuck this was just down from my house with just 500 miles on the truck
No that’s stuck! Ha ha...I did the same thing on my farm trying to get my buddy’s Chevy Duramax unstuck. Then we ended up with both our trucks stuck. Ha!
Been there a couple of times when riding in sand areas.
I always carry a long tow strap. I attach it to the front tow hooks, lay the strap out in front of the truck and usually within a few minutes a passerby stops to offer a tow out.
Well with street tires and small ones at that what do you expect? The tires that come on these trucks and the other manufacturers as well are pretty much worthless off road even in marginally challenging conditions.
