First time I'm gonna add a spacer to the front of my '17 150. Used coilovers before, no big deal. This time, I have 5100 Bilsteins installed, set on next to bottom slot. I'm adding a 1 1/2" Motofab spacer. I've seen this done two different ways;
1. Use a spring compressor, compress spring, and rotate tophat 180*
2. Install without rotating tophat, and rotate bottom mount instead.
Whatever the consensus is as best, that's what I'll do. Have a clamshell type compressor, so the stress level is a bit less than with the 2 piece.
I want to leave the shock setting as is, I'm happy with the ride and stability.
Firstly, thanks guys for not making any smart A comments. I watched too many You idiot Tube videos. Looking at what I've got, it's just about idiot proof, can't believe I even asked. Must be the oak and pine pollen floating around.
