Phone Mount

Okay y’all, where do you mount your phones? I’ve searched all the threads, found pretty little. The ones I did find were mostly mounts clipping to and blocking air vents. Being in AZ, South Texas, and Florida most the year... I need max airflow, ha!

Currently I have one clipped into the CD player (who uses those anymore anyway) but looking to have better access to the controls for climate, ease of access to USB to run Apple CarPlay through Sync, but also clear access to phone.

Any ideas or photos would be much appreciated!

I use the CupFone from WeatherTech and a short USB cable to the closest port.

Check out Costco. They have a phone holder that's a magnet. Its sturdy enough to take it offroading in my truck. Very sleek and easy attachment.

My Steelie mount ended up next to the Sync screen.

Your Lariat should have Apple Play. Just plug your phone into the USB port and it should mirror on your display. Then there's no need to keep your phone out at all.

If you still want you phone mounted, I'd suggest the iOttie Easy Touch.

I use a vent clip but slide my phone up so far that only about 25% is blocked. Texas heat, bring it on. Still way cooler than in my older SDs.

Here is mine. Its a fast wireless charger that sticks out far enough that it doesn't interfere with the AC. On long trips, i plug the phone in directly to the usb. I've had this for several years and love it.

proclip makes several different mounts for the super duties. I purchased the left mount for my rv backup camera. https://www.proclipusa.com/product/8...lip-left-mount

here is one that mounts above the vent.

they also make the cell phone mounts.

This is the one I use from PureBox:

I got mine dirt cheap, $14 at the time. The one I bought shows unavailable. Maybe they have a new model. I'm totally happy with it. I stick it on the face of the dash on the open area under the 12v/110v outlet.

Thanks PJMjunior - it does, I use it daily plugged in. Unfortunately Apple Play is not 100% compatible with all my apps. Still need to have quick view of it.

Yeah, this looks like my iOttie know I have in my Wrangler TJ. I have one lying around, just need to find best spot that’s not interfering with anything else. Thanks!

Man, you’re braver than me. I get cranky if I can’t feel my eyebrows freezing

What the heck is that critter in the background? A ute or wut? I don't recognize the cab lines.
