2007 Navigator light problems
Hello. I have a 2007 Navigator with some light problems. It started with my right low beam. Ones and a while it would shut off on its own so that i had to switch the lights off and back on. It would work for a while again. So I ordered a new HID module but never installed it because suddenly it didn't do it any more. A couple month later the left low beam started to do that same thing instead. It still does it but now a bigger problem started with the lights.
When driving with the lights on and hitting the brake pedal all outside lights and the dash lights will shut off. Only center console lights stay on. After switching lights off and back on all lights work.
Any idea?????

Hello, I have a 2007 Navigator so I am interested in problems they have.
I do lots of my own repairs but am least experienced in electrical problems. So beware of my advice ha ha.
I have a factory service wiring diagram manual. I looked up the lighting diagrams and could see where the brake pedal switch wiring comes out of a junction box. Also the instrument cluster lighting comes out of the same box.
Being as the problems are in different systems I would look in the source of their power in the fuse box inside the car. I think it is under the dash or on the passenger side behind the kick panel. Look to see if water has gotten into it.
Your owners manual may show you the fuse boxes and locations.
There is a big fuse box inside the car and one under the hood by the radiator.
