Headrest removal

I have a new 2019 f-450 XLT regular cab diesel 4x4. The 6 mile drive home from the dealer on monday I came to the conclusion that center headrest has to go. The owners manual says that the center jump seat headrest is not removable. Has anyone had this issue and figured out how to remove headrest.

Press the little buttons on both leg openings and it comes right out.

I have a 6 passenger lariat and I removed the headrest as well. Impossibly annoying. My kids aren't tall enough to reach it anyhow.

Yup...but mine is on a shelf in the garage. Not an ounce of space left under my seats

Mine is on the top shelf in the shop collecting dust - both the front and the back (I have the split bench seat with folding console).
