After a bit of research, sourcing, cleaning, striping, etc., had these installed today! Look and ride awesome!! The alcoa aluminum rims came home with me for stripping and refinishing. The tire shop guy wanted to buy them for his '93, but I declined. Anyway, here's a quick shot of old school steel wheel. Love 'em.
I use to think that ya had to have now fancy black wheels to make the truck look "cool". Your photo proved yet again that a good clean set of Factory steel wheels are indeed "cool".
Thank you, gents! I've always thought these would look good and very pleased with the results. I always get comments and offers to buy when I drive it, as does my wife. It's just a weekend truck for errands...4.9L, 5 speed, 2wd, with less than 60K miles. My plan is to clean up the 10 hole aluminum rims (strip,polish,reseal) and possibly have 2 sets of tires and wheels - summer/winter. But I'm in the Southeast US, so no need. Like need has anything to do with it, haha.
