Just curious... what would you do with it anyway? Planning some big mods? If you’re using it for mpg’s, you’re better of in the mpg screen. After running smokers for 20+ years, a boost gauge on a stock EcoBoost is, well, useless.

BTW, you should be able to add it through the screen at the gauge cluster, unless you are running a light trim level. Forescan can cure the itch.

I think while turbocharged vehicles are becoming pretty common, very few come with boost gauges. It's not information that the average driver needs.

You are wrong, it has a boost gauge.
You can have it in place of the tranny temp gauge.
Easy to do.

Read your manual.

Useless is correct.

OP, if you have an XLT, STX, XL, you won't have a boost gauge, you need the center display like the Lariat on up have.
As far as useless, I monitor my boost anytime I'm driving my truck. I have an nGauge tuner, and boost is available to be continuously displayed with the gauge function.
As most "should" know by now, the more you run in boost, the poorer fuel mileage you'll have.

You can also put in an OBD-2 interface and show boost (and whole lot of other stuff) on smart phone with an app like Torque (and a few others). I don't often display boost except when I'm towing.

Soooo, I guess the answer is,...................
1. Shut up and just drive and don't be concerned about anything
2. Look at your phone when you floor it for useless information.
3. Go buy the dash out of a Lariat and up and have it installed, even though the information is useless.
4. And most importantly, don't ask any questions , as questions are stupid. right ?
geez, lots of good advice here, Ive been in the group since around 2004, and have helped a lot of people, I guess those days are over ,.... .

Going against the flow here...I like the boost gauge being displayed. I look at it fairly frequently.
I don't know if it's useful info, but I like being able to gauge the load on the engine.
So...I like it...and that's a good enough reason to have it.

I hope you didn't take my post as derogatory, it sure wasn't meant to be.
On another forum I'm on, a member found a duplex vacuum/pressure gauge, and mounted it in one of the dash vents. You could get a "gauge pillar", and mount one in there as well. I think if you were to do a search for "automotive vacuum/pressure gauge", you'd even find some that are LED/LCD. I also know of a guy that sells the 8" center display for an upgrade if you'd rather do that. Where there's a will, there's a way, sometimes.

+1 to JohnDay. People are trying to be helpful. If you have a Lariat or up, the boost is an option in the standard display. Otherwise, there are a number of options. Take your pick.

Thank you,..yea, this truck is a 2017 with 23K miles , I bought it at NET DIRECT in Dallas, has a 6" lift and 35"x12.5" x 20" tires and is a special order XLT with 3.5 and 10 speed.
It came with the twin moon-roof, heated seats and both seats power and trailer setup,I have a guy that does add-ons for all the dealers , so far I have put over $5K in add ons,
I have a full 12" IPAD in my dash, every light in the truck has been upgraded including the ambient lighting ( its actually cool ). and 360 degree camera security , and Raptor type flares are being installed because of the huge tires,I now have the computer ability to control cooled and massage seats, I've read they are not worth it, but I'm buying a pair out of a limited, and I should have about all you add on my truck.
I will be adding adjustable boost and a gauge, and improved intercooler and exhaust .

Check out Americantrucks online they have lots of performance addons, every modded turbo car I ever knew had a **** on the console that could turn up the boost for extra power , and a boost gauge, of course you need to know what you can get away with without blowing parts all over .

The Gen 2 3.5 Ecoboost starting in 2017 have "Electric activated wastegates". I don't know if this will affect the Turbosmart Boost controller or not. You might want to check it out first.
