5.0 engine miss
I have a '93 5.0 that has developed a miss not only at idle but at speed. It will run fine on the flat but when I encounter even a slight incline the engine misses but will eventually clear itself up and run god again. I can feel the miss and see it in the shift lever (5spd). Last weekend I made a 25 mile haul with a load of topsoil. The run was 3/4 of the way up hill and although the engine was missing it managed to make it home (whew!)I have replaced the fuel and air filters, plugs, wires and cap and rotor (copper type) and have cleaned the throttle and idle valve to no avail. The engine has not shown a engine light warning at all yet it still misses as if a plug is bad or an injector is bad but yet it goes on and off at will and rus great when not missing.Switching tanks makes no difference either. Any suggestions as to where to look next.I love this truck and would like to solve this problem.

Well , See what the fuel pressure is to begin with. , Check the plugs out to see if you notice any problems or discrepancies that may lead you further . As for the rear brakes , pretty common problem esp if they are wet . You might try cleaning all the brake dust & checking the adjustment of the rear shoes . I beleive Ford has a tapered shoe that is less prone to grabbing .
