Audiophile vs regular stereo differences

Does anyone know the difference between the Audiophile and the regular (6-CD) stereo?

The big difference is a built in powered subwoofer with the audiophile. I think the speakers are upgraded as well, but I'm not sure.

I'd be careful wasting too much money on the audiophile or AudioPILE system on the new F-150. I have the PILE on my '03 Expedition and I can tell you first hand that it sucks! The speakers are paper and the sub is junk. The only good thing about it is that it leaves room for improvement. Take a look at this thread. It discusses it in more detail.

I upgraded the speaks and sub and man it made a huge difference. Oh and Yeah I heard the new sound system in the '04 and it's the same.

Thanks for the link. Interesting. I just bought my F-150 this weekend and passed on the Audiophile. My 03 expedition was the reason why I went with the standard 6-CD player in the truck.

I do need to add some bass to it, however.
