Hissing sound

After I let my truck warm up for a few minutes in the morning when I come outside a hear a hissing sound. Like a blow off valve had opened. It sounds like its coming from under the truck. Once I get in and step on the brake it stops. You hear it close up instantly ssssssssppp. Any ideas or is this normal?

Yep, perfectly normal. I don't know what model your truck is, but mine came with a video on the Powerstroke engine. They mention this in the video. It only happens when it's cold. When it gets really cold you will hear this along with a high idle. You should hear mine, with the 4" exhaust at high idle it sounds like a jet engine. My neighbors love it at 5:30 AM!

Thanks so much for the help. I recently switched over to PSD, I had a SD-gas before. I'm still in the learing curve. What leveling kit did you put in? I want to get my nose up a bit.

I used the Pro-Comp kit. The kit is only 2 longer shackles, using stock springs. Gave me about 2.5" I also changed all 4 shocks and the steering stabilizer with Pro-Comp units.
