The C6 in my '75 F250 2WD with 360 has become very sluggish. Forward or revers, it will only move when engine is revved and then not enough to be driveable. Could a rebuild kit with new seals, etc., address this?
C6 has one band.
Fluid level as others have asked.
Does the fluid smell burnt?
Has it ever had a fluid and filter change?
If the fluid smells burnt it's time for a rebuild.
Sorry, I should have mentioned the fluid is up. Also it is leaking out of the front seal so fluid is being added often.
If the front seal is leaking, you could have a problem with the torque converter. Not saying it is, but could be. How old is the converter and hold old or how long since the transmission was rebuilt (or if ever)

Fluid level is good, looks and smells like good fluid. Not sure when fluid/filter last changed, have only had this one a couple of years.
Looks like there are 3 cross members under the trans, is this one difficult to remove for an overhaul?

No idea on when or if it has been rebuilt, looks like doing that is where it is going. I would rather change out the torgue converter then that have to go through the hassle of possibly doing it anyway later.
