Your truck's a beauty. I love that two tone! It is close to this one. This has the 400m. I bought it in March from a guy in southern Colorado. I'm north of Denver, so I towed it here.
I will post my wheel restoration. I really like the way yours looks, so I am getting a black cover that looks pretty similar.
Did you read this description carefully? The part number listed is D8BZ-13A805-C not D8TZ-13A805-A
This is for a 1978/81 Fairmont/Zephyr & 1979/82 Mustang. These cars use a different 3 spoke sport steering wheel than the other 1977/79 cars, 1978/79 F100/350, Bronco & Econoline.
So, if it doesn't fit, whose fault is it?
Yep, the wheel and center do not have any contacts for the horn since Ford moved it to turn signal lever. Mustang II and Pinto had a similar sport wheel with horn in center but I never checked to see if they were the same as they both had key and lock on column.

1977/78 Mustang II & 1977/79 Pinto/Bobcat used the same 3 spoke wheel as the trucks: D7OZ-3600-B .. This is a 1977 LTDIIpart number, this is not an LTD!
When Ford cancelled the Torino at the end of the 1976 model run, it was "reborn" in 1977 as the LTD II .. a confusing and ridiculous name foisted on mankind by the IDIOTS at FoMoCo!
Mine had spots on the outside also. Wrapped it in a cover and it looks awesome. Found the cover in a box of parts I had. Have not been through this stuff in years. Started the restoration of O’l Yeller and digging stuff out to see what I am missing. That is a great idea on how to get the black horn button. I may do the same with the new silver one on its way. I called everywhere and bought 4 only to be notified later notified the next day they out of stock.
