Classic bumper problems, need a new rear bumper for my 1994 Aerostar not extended - found a salvage yard with a bumper but that car has rear doors, not the liftgate also not extended ... Are these the same bumpers?

 

sounds like that is a Panel van and those rear bumpers are different.

 

Looks panel-y, though I guess all aerostars would fall in that category. I believe it is just the doors in the rear that are different. Still an Aerostar... Bumper could be different for sure. Here is a picture of what I mean. Hopefully real bumper is in better shape than this one...

 

I believe that was called a cargo van and the bumper on my lift back is different.

 

Those rear bumpers are different than the standard Aerostar. Also very hard to find in good condition if I remember correctly.

If you find one it will be expensive, happy hunting. A couple years ago I found a rear, and i guess it was old stock, it cracked a week after installing.

 

The lower hinges require a bigger cutout than the standard bumper. The panel door bumper is actually a lot harder to find in good shape these days! Only one rarer would be the extended panel bumper.
