I've been wanting an old Ford truck for several years now (about as long as I've been lurking on here) and am finally in a spot where I could get one. I'm going to be checking out what's advertised as a 1961 f250 tomorrow. A friend opined that the ride height looks a bit low for an f250, which made me wonder what the differences are that would distinguish an f250 from an f100 in that year. (Of course, my friend's a devotee of that other motor vehicle company that starts with C).
If you desire to throw in general buying / shopping advice I'd definitely appreciate that as well. I am aware of some of the potential issues with a unibody and wouldn't be planning on filling the bed with tons of gravel or anything. The guy claims to have fixed all rust spots, but I'm going to especially give the torque box a real good eyeballing.
Thanks,
Justin
(Oh yes, I know, if I buy it pics or it didn't happen.)
