In March I replaced the radiator (my fat butt broke the smaller nozzle while working on the truck.) After replacing the radiator I picked up the code for communication loss with the fan. 2 weeks ago I replaced the fan clutch. Now the fan is running constant. I can move the fan freely by hand and don't have any codes coming up. Coolant temp reading normal (188) while driving. Fan runs even when it's cold. Could I have messed something up when I replaced it? I have a 1k mile round trip coming up Thursday and I'll be hauling a trailer with Boy Scouts gear and need the truck in top condition. Please let me know and thank you in advance.

EGR Deleted
198k miles
Recent work includes new fan clutch, radiator, thermostat, water pump, oil cooler, ipr... etc.
I had the same issue on one I changed several years ago, but as it turned out, after about 5 minutes of driving it turned off. Maybe you didn’t drive it far enough? My conclusion was that because the clutch had been stored in a horizontal position, it needed to run a while before it straightened out. But no, it did that every day. Hmm...
When I drove to the Springs the other day (30-ish miles down the mountain) the fan shut off after turning truck off and restarting it. Sorry, just thought of that. Any insights would be helpful right now.
Have you any means of reading live data? By comparing fan speed and visctronic fan duty cycle we should be able to determine whether the PCM is commanding it on or not.

I have a bluetooth OBDII and Torque and Car Gauge Pro. What should I monitor? I'm still learning how to use these apps.
EGR is deleted. Wire harness for that is just hanging.
If you still have the EGR valve plug it back in and lay it in the valley. For some reason the EGR valve not being connected can cause fan control issues. I had EGR delete with some odd fan control issues that were resolved by plugging the EGR back in and letting it sit in the valley.
Last year I switched to the 7.3 mechanical fan so I have an EGR valve not being used if you need one.

I did not do the delete, so I don't have a valve. Are you in Colorado?
I don't think you will have any problems with towing and the fan running all the time. You might see decreased fuel economy and possiably lower operating temps but that's if your thermostat isn't up to par (or you have a sucky Motorcraft one).
P0480 Fan 1 Control Circuit Code showed up after EGR delete and added H & S Tuner, I read how to fix

wow, thanks a bunch for helping here as this was a problem that had me stumped and your recommendations fixed my problem totally...
I have a 2008 F450 6.4, completed a EGR delete and installed a H & S Tuner, right after I did it this P0480 Fan 1 Control Circuit code showed up and would come back after clearing every time... I looked high and low, but couldn’t figure it out till I read this thread and tried it!!! It worked perfectly.
I chose to hook up all 3 electrical connections to the EGR parts I originally removed as who knows maybe they affect other things? I also cut them down in size so as not to take up to much room as you can see in the pictures. I’ll wrap them in tire rubber and leave where they are in the picture.
I really appreciate this thread and thank you for posting it as it helped me finally fix a issue I couldn’t figure out why the code kept popping... This fan 1 control circuit fault showed up after I removed the EGR and won’t go away until I rep lugged the EGR valve back in... you would think that the H & S tuner would of fixed this... I cut the parts down in size to reconnect them back up and leave under the hood so the code won’t show up. I’m not sure which device made the code go away, but I decided to just hook up all three and leave under the hood. As long as the code went away I’m happy
