2012 6.7 intercooler cold side
Today Easter Sunday intercooler tube blew off. Background on the truck full delete with sct x tuner and custom tune. My question is trouble shooting the tube blew off but there is a ton of build up of soot in the intake also mixed with oil I cannot tell if it is a lot of oil or a lot of soot with oil on top of it? Would it be an easy fix by cleaning out upper and lower intake and buying upgraded metal tubing for preventative maintenance or should I dig deeper to see if the seals are bad in the turbo? The tube coming up from the intercooler just had a slight covering of oil which seemed normal but was unsure? Also it’s completely blocked and egr redirected so why would I have that much soot build up in intake? Please help me with some knowledge.
