Serial number says. 87HY 587** So a 1948 Flathead 6 But is Y a 3/4??

Body all looks to be a 1/2 ton

Your Serial Number on your frame says it's an F3. But yours has 5 lug axles, which should be on F1 only. You also have f1 bed, rear and front fenders from what I can see

So I have 10 leaf springs, and six overload springs Is that common on a half ton? Or is that more like the 3/4-1ton?

Don't overthink this. F1 rear spring pack had 10 leafs. Overloads could have been added at anytime in the last 70 years. As we mentioned, by all accounts you have a half ton (F1) truck.

I have done some research on those overload spring packs, and from the looks of it, they could have been installed by the dealer. Look to see if they have stop/overload brackets bolted to the frame. If they do and are marked "Moog" it's quite possible they were added at the dealer. My F2 has 13 leaves in the spring pack, so I agree with the others that it definitely looks like your truck is an F1. I have a bunch of pictures in my build thread that show you what an F2 looks like once the bed is off.
