Hello out there!
I have a unique situation. Where I live, the HOA will not allow work on a truck (2008 F350 Diesel 4X4) in the driveway. So, I live near Vegas although I have RV access to the backyard it is covered with the typical desert pebble landscape with sand underneath. The sand is compacted but I need to lay down some sort of surface to park the truck, jack it up and work on it. My options, at least in my mind, are concrete pavers (expensive) or double sheets of 3/4 plywood, or pavers with single sheet of 3/4 plywood on top. Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcomed. PS.Can not pour a concrete slab...don't ask:-)
Thanks in advance
Why not just get something like a few 10’x8”x2” pieces of pressure treated lumber and cut them into sections to place under each wheel and jack/jackstands. When you’re done, much easier to pick up and store. If you’re concerned about spills or dropping stuff, buy a plastic tarp to put under your work area then throw it away when you’re done
One sheet of 3/4 plywood is all you'll need. For the jack stands I would use a 2x12 under it to support the legs. Personally I'd weld a big plate to the bottom of the legs
