I have a 1988 ford e 150 van with two gas tanks, i get gas out of the rear tank all the time, when i switch to the front tank it still pulls out of the rear. it shows how much gas is in the rear tank but when i switch to the front it shows empty, and it still pulls out of the rear. i can use any help i can get

I had the same problem with a '78 Ford F-250...the electric fuel valve needs to be replaced...When I had it on the back tank it would also draw from the front..when back was out of gas...I would switch over to the front only to find it was down about 1/4 tank..new valve stopped the syphoning...Hope this helps...
