I have a 83 F100 4x2. Replaced wheel bearing and shocks but now am getting a terrible rattling sound from passenger side front suspension when I hit a bump. Suspect Ball Joints. But would like to rebuild the entire front and get it over with. Does anyone know where I can perhaps purchase an entire bushing set and not have to piece meal it. Would like to go with urethane of course.
make sure you use regular bushings on the radius arms. rumor has it that the rubber ones are stiff enough, and if you use poly bushings, it'll crack the radius arm mounts.
btw, that rattling noise might be your brakes, and ball joints on a 2wd are the biggest pain in the @#$@#$ you can ever do.. make sure you get a balljoiny press. I had to torch mine out. 4wd bushings are SOo much easier to change.
