Power steering Problem
I have a 78 super cab 4x4 with the Dana 60 front end. A couple months ago my power wteering pump went bad and I replaced it with a Napa Super Duty Pump. It has never worked right since the original pump went out. At low rpms the steering seems to skip and not grab as you turn the wheel. Increase the rpms and it seems fine, but not great. I check belt tension, flushed the unit and steering box and replaced the steering pump again under warranty, but the problem is still there. I guess it could be a steering box, but I wanted to know if anyone has seen this problem and what else I might need to check. Thanks for your help.

Power stearing
I have a 98 explorer xlt and the power stearing pump sounds like its straining when I turn right at any speed!
Its at the dealer now for a fix to that problem and I will keep you updated as and when I know anything.
