High idle hours?

Why you little p*sspot! No respect for your elders...
I have that printed out and like a bad student, didn't read all the material required. Thanks for reading it for me. As long as the EGR block off plate is there, I don't see any harm with the coolant flowing through the cooler with exhaust gas present.

The only thing I've come to learn is that my truck has high idle hours and my DPF doesn't care anymore.

Ok dumb question but does the 2017 have the "cleaning exhaust filter" display on the instrument screen like the previous generation?
I might have missed it first time it went into regen. It went from 95% full to 99% full and then went to 0 after about 15 miles on the highway. Now it's back up to 99% (after 395 miles) so I'll need to keep my eyes on the screen for it if it tells you like my old truck used to do.

You should look into a digital monitor or get a phone app with a Bluetooth adapter to watch the PIDS you want like the status of The DPF.

It's easy to miss if you're not paying attention for it. I think Ford dropped the ball and should have a DPF idiot light on during the REGEN. Then you'd know.

I would like to prove this theory myself because I don't think my truck would have as many idle hours on it if the counter only ticked away while in park. If that really is the case then I can beat the system by placing the transmission in drive with my foot on the brake while I fill out my paperwork at the job site.
Does anyone know if we can track engine hours and/or idle hours with ForScan or a monitoring app like Torque Pro? I feel the counter in the productivity screen would not be very accurate since there is no noticeable change until another hour is clocked.

Yes it is. I had the original iDash from Banks that only displayed 5 PIDS at once. I had software issues with it but there were times it ran great. Since they were no longer updating the iDash for 11 to 16 Super Dutys, they offered to upgrade me free of charge to the new iDash 1.8 Data Monster.
