1994 F250 300 C6 2wd. Gotta little low speed squeak, a clunk into gear, and a mild vibration at speed. Been a while since I messed w/ u joints, what is the best to get? Rock Auto goes from $3 specials to $30+.
I think these will fit. They worked in my truck and i checked on Amazon and they say they will fit your truck. at least one of the joints. it fits both locations on my 93
Spicer 5-213X
I picked them up for about 20 bux a pop. mid priced and Spicer seems to be of good quality.
Spicer is a good name. I have Moog ones which are fine, but if you are going to go with the Moogs check the box and see where they are made. Some are USA and some are China and elsewhere. I'm not sure if there is actually a difference in quality but I prefer US made stuff regardless.
Really confused now. Some I click say they are for the front and rear of the shaft. Some just front or rear. Some even say center. I do not have a center u joint. I better buy local.
Spicers for me when it is time, non serviceable ones, too. If you want some long format, educational, videos on everything to do with u-joints, search Weber auto on YouTube for universal joints.
I'd go spicer. Every moog u-joint I get seems like they go together tight. A local mechanic I was talking to about this said they regularly have to pull the caps on moogs and grind them down a bit to get them to fully seat without binding. I'll never buy another moog u-joint myself. That ship has sailed for me.

This is true. I replaced every u joint (5 in total) in my truck last year with Moogs and didn't have any fitment issues, but I've had issues with them in other vehicles.
make sure you go with spicer life series with the 3 piece seals, non greasable.
Bingo, when I had some driveshafts modified, the shop wouldn't install Moogs that I had purchased previously.I thought they just wanted their parts markup until I started researching.
