I have an 08 and I am looking to replace the AUX jack on the passenger side of the console with USB jacks that would look as close to stock/OEM as possible. Has anybody done this and, if so, pics and links would be appreciated to where to find that.
I have a 2003 F250 and I just replaced mine this weekend. I bought one on Amazon that is dual USB that is 4.8 amp for faster charging. The one I got is lighted and you can get it in different colors to match dash lights. The ones that show 3.1 amp are one at 2.1 and one at 1 amp. My outlet is in dash by trash bag hook. The one on Amazon fit the hole perfectly.
In my 2015 I didn't want to mess with the stock AUX jack but I replaced one of the cigarette lighter plugs with a Blue Sea brand marine dual USB charger port and I doubt any non-Ford person would notice that it isn't stock.
I replaced my cigarette lighter and passenger side power outlet to USB ports. Got 3 foot extension that plugs into my head unit. Looks like they were made for the truck. Covers and they are nice. From amazon.

Cal, this one fit right in the original hole but the old power port is hot all the time. I had to run hot to a keyed power so green light does not stay on. This USB outlet is available in Red, Blue or Green.

Great info, Sully. Thanks for the pics as well. Now that the weather is starting to break here, in Michigan, it's time to handle some projects on the rig.
