Random questions

I’m in the process of refreshing my engine and apparently did it pay close enough attention and have other questions. The lifting eyes are different, which one goes in the front of the engine and which is the back? Which engine mount, the rubber isolated ones, goes on which side? There is one with more offset and maybe one of the solid mounts has less offset, i cant remember and really dont want to set the engine and find out i need to swap the mounts. I’m having the fuel bowl sonic cleaned, while it’s apart should I bother putting the fuel heating element back in. Preventative measure since it shares the same circuit as one of the computers. I don’t think I’m forgetting anything but will figure out if i have when i see my engine tomorrow.

I looked through my pics and was able to find a pic that I might be able to use to I’d the lifting eyes. Guess ill bolt the rubber engine mount with more offset and the side with less offset at the engine. Hoping to set the engine tomorrow after work. Now if Swamps would just send me my pushrods, getting real unhappy about it all now. I was considering unplugging and will if the mount for it is integrated with the filter centering nub, luckily ive got some more time to decide and get input from more experienced members.

Glad you got the lifting eyes sorted. I woulda expected them to only fit one way.

If the part number on the mounts are legible the number F81Z-6038-CB is the right, and F81Z-6038-CA is the left. Images at the links might help if the PNs are gone.

For the fuel heater, I left it in, but disconnected the wire that comes off of it (not the exterior wire) and looped it around itself. If you ever need it unloop wire and connect. The water in fuel light will still work that way.

I haven’t actually tried bolting the lifting eyes on yet but they’re bent at different angles and one has a cutout on the end with the smaller bolt and the heads are the same so I’d assume they could bolt in either spot.
The part numbers should be legible, i could still see the word up when I steamed them off.
That is good to know about the water in fuel light and would be easier to reuse if needed again. Thanks for the input, I didn’t realize what would happen if removed.
