Vin error
I'm trying to look up the VIN of a '79 F250 listed for sale by a dealer. Every site I try, incl. this one, returns an error message for the VIN as pulled from a pic of the door jamb sticker.

EC3908 = Numerical Sequence of Assembly
Sounds right to me.

R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.
EC3908 = 1979.
No 11 digit VIN's after 1980. 17 digit VIN's introduced in 1981.
