Could just be a cut wire, bad sensor or faulty computer module etc. If you "just" bought the truck it could also indicate that the airbags have been deployed, prior accident damage. Go to another dealer guick, and have them check the airbag system with there diagnostic computer.

UPDATE airbag code 27..It means tge freakin lil led light on the switch that controls the passenger airbag went out....$300.00 at the dealership.....$20.00 at radio shack FTE rules.If you have code 27 look on this site for replacement instructions.

airbag went off snowplowing!
this ever happen to anyone else? about two weeks ago i was plowing and hit a slightly raised sewer cap (this is common for anyone who doesn't plow). i've been plowin the same route for 3 years, same street too. anyways, hit the cap, bag went off, didn't know what happend for about 5 seconds, scared the ***** out of me. have a 99psd350. what a headache (literally and figurely)
