odometer reset does not work

Just purchased the 2007 ford 150. The odometer reset does not work. any suggestion on r&r. Thanks

Isn’t it illegal to reset an odometer? That’s why there no reset button in a vehicle.

You have to press and hold it for several seconds.

Take it apart (watch a youtube video) and try to find out if it is just the button dial thingy or the actual odometer portion. I don't know if you can just buy a replacement odometer or not. That would drive me mad. Rip it out and start troubleshooting. Put those youtube tutorials to work

Dashboard problems are a PITA. Mine has a far left light issue and I've replaced it twice but it keeps dimming occasionally. I've just given up. Not paying for a new dash, but I probably would if my TRIP ODOMETER was not working and I couldn't figure out why. At first, mine had no light behind the odometer either, but replacing that bulb worked at least. I seriously would have shelled out the cash for a new one had it not worked.
