Help picking the engine

Swapping a SBF into a Jeep TJ
4.10 gears

Two choices are a 2000 5.0 out of a mountaineer
And a 1996 351 out of F150
Both are OBD2

Using a T18 or Np435. I may or may not use a 205 behind them.

The five O has gt40 heads which could provide some better performance with some minor mods.

Perhaps not enough to skip out on a 351.

P.s. I've swapped 351's into CJ's before and love them but this 5.0 is intriguing me.

Both have all accessories, wiring, etc.
The mercury was in front of an automatic obviously. The 5.8 I'm not certain yet. It potentially might be out of a f-250 with a stick. I'll know in a day or two.

They both make about the same HP if you're leaving them stock. But the 351 will make more bottom end torque. Same roller cam in both too. The 5.0 has some really BAD exhaust manifolds that put a cork on what extra power the heads make.
