285/75r18s ordered!

Finally gonna put some proper shoes on my F250! It currently has 275/65r18 Continental crap tires. They’re not bad in snow but they’re horrible on hard packed snow and ice. So I ordered some 275/70r18 Falken Wildpeak AT3w’s to put on. They have been sitting in my garage for the last few months while I went back and forth on if I should install them or order the bigger 285/75r18s and sell the 275s. So I finally decided to order the 285/75r18 Falken Wildpeak AT3W’s! Now, if only I could convince my wife to let me do a gear swap to 4.30s and I would be set!

The nearly 35" measured 285/75/18 and 4.30 gears would be a great combo for sure.

Will do. I'm sure it would still pull 10k trailer up a hill, you just might use a full tank of gas lol. And I don't have any big trailers or hills near me but I do my best with what I have.

Yes Photo's and reports. That's the size I'm going to go to this fall. My wranglers are wearing faster than I hoped. I'm looking at the cooper AT3 XLT's.

My 6.2L might not like it,, but I’m doing the 285’s. Not like I get good gas mileage anyway.

275/70r18’s weigh in at 60.8 pounds and the 285/75r18’s weigh in at 68.2 pounds.

Did you ever get the 285’s mounted? I’m considering that size as well.

Unfortunately not yet. Had the valve in my bath tub tap let go while my wife and I were out for a few days, so a $700 water bill is taking priority... So in two weeks, hopefully I’ll get them mounted lol.

Dang man sorry to hear that. I hope you’re able to get everything fixed back the way it was. Probably not the end to the trip you were hoping for...

The money part sucks but lucky for us the bath tub drain did it’s job and kept up so no water damage! It was during the cold winter here so we left the water on for my in-laws to check on the house and flush the toilet to prevent our sewer pipes from freezing like it did last winter when we were gone and my in-laws were not running water like we asked them too. And a few months ago the hose that connect the water line to the taps in my bathroom sink let go but at least I was home for that one! It seems like we can’t win lol.
