Rear Console Sub Box????
I've included some pictures for your enjoyment. Next time they'll be smaller I guess 25% of original is not small enough.
That's not bad for your first box. If you have time, look for Car Audio Fabrication on YouTube as Mark's videos are geared toward someone who may have not built anything before, while employing techniques that allow for a professional finished look. How is the sub going to fire and what do you plan on finishing the outside with?
If you have issues setting up the LC2i (great unit by the way), there is also a very good video from Five Star Car Audio on You Tube that explains it very well. .
All of the seams you can see in the pictures are covered by the center console.
It was tough took me awhile in the end but it hits harder in that box than it has in the two previous boxes it was in the audio control lc2i really helps out. I sent both of the sub channels to it and then from that to the Rockford fosgate p400 1 (2010). And it sounds really good, nice clean Lows that I can rattle the car's windows next to me if I choose and still not get any distortion. I was reading another thread about how the DSP in the Sony touch screen head unit filters out some of the low end frequencies there's been a couple of songs I've listened to and thought in order to protect the OEM speakers and there have been a few times I've said to myself ”isn't there supposed to be bass there?” but it's few and far between and it could totally be my imagination. If it ever starts to bug me I'll just tap into the front speaker channels and then know for sure that I'm getting full range. But as of now I'm just glad it's done and I can move on to the next project. at first I was a little worried about whether I was going to be able to get adequate airspace in that little enclosure but the JL10W6V2 only requires .625 cubic feet of air in a sealed enclosure and I ended up with 1.99 and I think the driver itself displaces .068
