Howdy to all, is there bad weather heading that way? Better batten the hatches.

I think I have all my stuff put together to spend the next 2 days in Jeff City for the annual supervisor's meeting. Not sure how much I'll be checking in, but I'm sure I'll be lurking in the background.

Morning folk, track last night was pretty quick, not many teams were there. Today doctor's for my father in law. Then rush home to sell more stuff out of our house. Track Thursday in Versailles, that will be a long one, it always goes slow.

Dave, sounds like you are in for a couple of exciting days.

Dave, maybe since Joe works around the corner from me, we can have a mini GTG Thursday...unless the track meet is during the day.

That's a possibility. We should be done by 2:00 pm but I already have a couple of meetings-after-the-meeting but I don't know when exactly those will be happening.

I'm taking the dually for this trip. Asthma + Allergy Season - Air Conditioning = Trouble.

good morning all.. i didnt get much of a chance to visit with alan yesterday. he is a busy man.. i had some used tires put on the van because i could not find any wheels to fit it.. dodge 1500 van wheels dont fit it, i need to figure out why..... does a dodge with 4wheel disc brakes use a different size centering hub than one with rear drum brakes? i need to ask our resident 'dodge' expert... HEY DAVE!!

i have to get over to the storage room again and look some more for my torque wrench and TDC locating tool i hope i still have one... i dont know what tools i have or i dont have anymore ... .

..thanks for the degree wheel alan that will help

RC - Dodge was weird about their vans and bolt patterns. For years they used the smaller bolt pattern shared with the passenger cars. At some point in the 90's they started to switch over to the larger bolt pattern shared with some of the trucks. Now that I think about it, I don't think they changed over to the 2nd gen Ram's bolt pattern at all after it came out in '94.

Good Morning Everybody!

RC. No problem. ....just don't forget where ya' got it from.

I have to move the parts truck more out of sight behind the barn so I can cut the 1/4 panels off of it. I decided after the disaster I found in the doors that looked decent, I wasn't going to bother trying to fix the quarters that are on the truck that I can SEE are a disaster before I even start. There's filler over a 1/4" deep in places, so I think I'll just build a set out of the better ones on the parts truck. ....I should've left the graphics on the quarters. I bet I could've sold them. ....anyway, ....off to work.

4hrs of NVG flight time, all the mean while IDF (indirect fire/rocket attack) on the base. I was miles from it doing multiple gun runs on the base of a mountain. I am tired.

A lot happened today.

Kasie (our middle daughter) got discharged from the hospital. She's sore, but doing well. I got the parts truck moved around back a little more so you can't see it easily from the road. I got both quarters cut off and one of the wheel wells built from an old fender. Just for clarity, front and rear wheel wells are NOT the same. ....they aren't even close. ...but if you cut it apart in enough places and weld it back together properly, they can work. Since I'm dirt poor, that's what I had to do. It turned out pretty decent, all things considered. I'll try to finish this one and get started on the other side tomorrow.

Good Morning Everybody!

More cutting, grinding and welding today. I decided I shouldn't do any mud work until the quarter is welded on the truck, that way I don't have to worry about burning the mud. I hope to get both quarters finished up today. Then figure out how I'm gonna get them on the truck and painted.

Home from a 2 day meeting that put a spotlight on me way more than I would've preferred. I'm hoping life at work will get closer to normal and I can run under the radar some more.

Stopped by and visited with Chip for a few before hitting the road home.

Evening All!

I must attract idiot body guys. I didn't want to deal with the 1/4 - 1/2" of bondo cracking out of the quarters on EQ, so I cut the quarters off my parts truck that looked decent. ...until I started to strip it. 4 freakin' paint jobs on that truck, the one right after the factory paint job had to have been Imron. It's like trying to sand concrete. What a pain! Not to mention a ton of crap body work that needs to be redone. Yay me!
